More than 2,000 Pre-filled Stockings Given to Children in Need

The 12th annual Operation Stocking Stuffer campaign was a major success thanks to the generosity of the community! We received more than 2,000 stockings filled with toys, games, hygiene items and treats from people in the Reno-Sparks area.

In December, the St. Vincent's Dining Room hosted the Operation Stocking Stuffer holiday party where children were able to play games donated by Circus Circus, enjoy delicious cupcakes provided by the dining room, visit with Santa and receive a stocking. Nearly 500 kids attended the event with their family members. The remaining stockings were distributed by the St. Vincent's Food Pantry, Kids to Seniors Korner and our Resource Network office in the days leading up to Christmas. Children throughout Washoe County and rural Nevada who normally go without during the holidays were able to enjoy wonderful gifts from the community and we are so grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support.
