Helping Washoe County Families Heal and Grow
Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada’s Spirit of Courage Family Services program helps families living in Washoe County who are in crisis due to opioid use. These crises rarely affect just one person. An opioid-related crisis in the home can cause money and health problems, family separation, housing and food insecurity, employment loss, and more.
Our team works with the whole family, not just one person, to understand and plan for each family's stabilization goals.

Families in crisis due to opioid use may need help from many different places. Finding that help can be hard and confusing. Our case managers help bring these services together, assessing each family's needs and collaboratively building a tailored set of services. They work alongside each family as they take steps toward stability, including treatment and recovery.
