We are reacting quickly to the needs of our community as we cope with the COVID-19 crisis. We are always privileged to serve the most vulnerable populations in northern Nevada—especially the homeless and working poor through our St. Vincent’s Dining Room, Food Pantry and our Emergency Services through our Resource Hub. But now we are expecting the impact of the virus to expand those we serve. Service Schedule during COVID-19.
The NV Energy Foundation is generously supporting the St. Vincent's Warming Center this winter. Their gift will allow us to open our dining room to those living in overflow shelters and on the street. The warming center will be open 6am-8:30am Monday through Saturday through mid March and will offer a warm refuge with hot drinks and cereals to those who quite literally have nowhere else to stay warm. Casa De Vida is hosting a Mother’s Day luncheon benefit on Thursday, May 9th honoring Karen Mowry, who has gone above and beyond to support the programs and residents of Casa de Vida. The luncheon will be held at the Peppermill from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Doors open for shopping at 11:00 A.M. Lunch will be served at Noon.
