Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada serves thousands of individuals each month. We focus our efforts in four key areas: Food services, case management services, family services, and residential services. We also operate two thrift stores to underwrite our programs and provide entry-level employment opportunities.
The St. Vincent’s Dining Room is Reno’s oldest "soup kitchen" welcoming all who are hungry in our community. The dining room serves over 1,400 free and nutritious meals each day.
The St. Vincent’s Food Pantry is the largest food pantry in Nevada, serving more than 15,000 people each month. We offer non-perishable, canned and packaged food products to individuals and families in need at no cost.
Our immigration legal services help clients find and fund a legal pathway to citizenship. We assist people with obtaining legal permanent residency, temporary protective status, employment authorization, U non-immigrant status, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
Catholic Charities of Northern Nevad's Benefits Enrollment Center helps assist low-income Medicare beneficiaries in accessing available benefits.
Elevating Families is a new economic mobility mentoring program that is designed to help individuals and families to increase their income, set goals, plan financially, and leave the cycle of poverty. Program participants will work with a coach who will help design and implement a self-sufficiency plan that will transform lives.
Battle Born Housing Plus is a sober community for low-income individuals who need wraparound services to address their needs for both short and long-term stability.
At St. Marguerites we offer our case management services, benefit enrollment services, and our emergency support services. All services are provided free of charge.
We invite you to shop for your Thanksgiving meal at one of our food pantries. The week before Thanksgiving, registered families will pick up their meal kit including a turkey, side dishes and dessert.
Operation Stocking Stuffer is held every December. We provide over 1,200 stockings to parents to gift to their children.
An annual event held in the spring. We distribute over 1,200 Easter baskets to parents to give to their children on Easter.
Project Homeless Connect brings dozens of local service providers together to connect individuals and families experiencing homelessness with medical care, social services, housing aid, and much more.

Heartfelt Haircuts is a partnership with local stylists that provides free haircuts the 3rd Monday of every month outside the St. Vincent’s Dining Room.
Leprechauns and Libations is our annual St. Patrick’s Day themed dinner and fundraiser to support the poverty assistance programs of Catholic Charities.
Raise The Roof to Ease Poverty is a partnership with KBUL DJ JJ Christy which raises money to support ongoing services.
