Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada is excited to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, Marie Baxter. Marie is no stranger to Catholic Charities. She came on board in 2016 to lead the development team, and oversaw much of the day-to-day operations as the Chief Operating Officer. Marie has an extensive background working with non-profits, which includes serving in leadership roles with Reno Rodeo Foundation and The Davidson Institute for Talent Development. Marie is a member of the Prospectors’ Club and is well connected in the Reno-Sparks community. The staff is excited to have someone of Marie’s caliber lead the team at Catholic Charities, as she brings a diverse skill set that will benefit the organization in many ways. Marie is not only an exceptional leader, but she is truly passionate about the work that CCNN does and the people it serves.

“Over our 77 year history, hundreds of thousands of individuals have turned to Catholic Charities for food, clothing, shelter and most of all hope. I feel blessed to be part of an organization that is dedicated to changing lives and creating a better future for the families in our community. I am truly honored to work with our dedicated staff, volunteers, and our Board of Trustees to continue to provide the highest-quality services across the state,” she says.

CCNN is looking forward to continuing its efforts of preventing homelessness and easing the pain of poverty under Marie's leadership.
