The 9th annual Project Homeless Connect was recently held at the Reno Events Center.

This event brought together more than 90 of the area's leading service agencies in one room with one goal; to end homelessness. At Project Homeless Connect, which was organized by Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada, we were able to introduce the homeless in our community to a variety of services to help them get back on their feet. People who attended had access to medical and dental providers, disability services, veteran assistance, job and housing resources, legal aid, pet care, free haircuts, food assistance and much more. More than 1,000 people, who are either homeless or living in poverty, showed up to this year's event. Catholic Charities provided everyone who attended with a blanket and a bag filled with food, warm clothing and hygiene items.

We would like to thank our event sponsors, Health Plan of Nevada, NV Energy and Silver Summit Health Plan for their generosity. Also, we would like to express our gratitude to all of the organizations that participated, our amazing volunteers and those who made in-kind donations for the event. We could not have done it without such tremendous community support!
