UPDATE 3/1/21 We are pleased to announce that both the Sparks Super Thrift and 4th Street locations are back open for donations. We have also been able to re-open our Disc Dr. drop off location at 4670 Sparks Blvd Sparks, NV 89436 and our Patriot location at 80 E. Patriot Boulevard Reno, NV 89511.
UPDATE 2/19/21: The Sparks SuperThrift will be accepting donations again starting Saturday 2/20.
Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada (CCNN) is asking the community to hold their donations to the St. Vincent’s Thrift Stores from February 15 until February 26 so that the organization can process the high-volume of donations they have received over the past six months.
“We are extremely blessed with the generosity and support of those who donate to our thrift stores,” said John Fisher, Director of the St. Vincent’s Thrift Stores. “By holding off on collecting donations for two weeks, we can concentrate all of our donation collection staff to process the donations we’ve already received - nearly 500 carts worth! This pause will also allow us to reopen our five neighborhood collection centers this spring which will give our supporters more convenient places to make their donations. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience while we process the generous spike in donations we’ve received since the start of the pandemic.”
As donations are processed, there will be a significant increase in the quantity of items in our two thrift stores, so this will be an ideal time for our community to support Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada by shopping. Both the St. Vincent’s Super Thrift at 195 E. Glendale and the St. Vincent’s Thrift Store at 500 East 4th Street retail operations will remain open.
The collection locations at 195 E. Glendale and 500 East 4th Street will reopen on Saturday February 27. Information on the reopening of the neighborhood donation centers will be posted on social media and on the ccsnn.org website in the coming weeks.
