Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada’s Affordable Housing Program

The Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada Affordable Housing Program is designed to provide clean, safe, and friendly housing options for many people in our community. With 67 apartments, we are able to provide low-income individuals and families with a welcoming housing situation, as well as the dignity and pride that comes from having a home to call one’s own.

In 2009, we built our new three-story studio apartment building, which expanded our housing capacity by 27 units. In early 2010, we began a partnership with Washoe County Social Services, who will use one of our apartment buildings to house families and individuals graduating from local homeless shelters and treatment programs. The program’s goal is to prevent relapses to homelessness. While still in its infancy, this program is showing tremendous success with many community partners, and we look forward to a potential expansion of this program.
