Donis a regular at our Client Choice Pantry Neighborhood Center. Don, who is 85, lost his daughter to COVID. She had 3 children. Child Protective Services intervened because of his age and Don had to fight to retain access to his grandchildren.
After a lengthy court battle, Don recently gained full custody. Catholic Charities was a strong ally during this process. Don’s visits to our Client Choice Pantry allowed him to stretch his retirement dollars to include three growing grandchildren.
Don tells us, "The Pantry is a great help because we can more comfortably cover the monthly expenses. My children and I, we are grateful to all of you.”
